Mr. and Mrs. Hatfield, who were referred to us through our Homebuyers Readiness Program by a trusted partner, Nick DiTucci, at Stockton Mortgage.

 

Over the months of working with the Hatfields, I’ve come to know them well and have been deeply moved by their story. Mr. Hatfield dedicated 20 years of his life to the U.S. Army, serving multiple tours overseas to protect our country. Today, he is permanently disabled and unable to work, and unfortunately, their current living conditions are dire.

 

With their mobile home crumbing around them.. There are large holes through out the floors of the trailer allowing snakes and other animals to freely and regularly enter their home. The home has no AC or heating and has black mold that is rampant throughout. They only have a few working outlets which they must carefully unplug every few hours to prevent electrical fires. The home has no air conditioning or heat, which means unbearable heat in the summer and freezing cold in the winter, as the exterior walls also have holes that they’ve desperately tried to patch up. They have no oven, just a stove with one working burner. 

 

After hearing their story, we couldn’t stand by and do nothing. We reached out to Don Reilly at Back Home Patriots for support, and together, we’ve committed to providing this couple with a new mobile home. However, we can’t do it alone.

 

We are asking for your support to help give the Hatfields the safe, secure home they deserve. Mr. Hatfield served our country with honor, and now it’s our turn to serve him and his family in their time of need.
